TALES OF THE ABYSSThe world is ruled by Yulia's prophecy, known as the Score. People believe in the coming “unprecedented prosperity” promised in the Score, never straying from the path set forth in the Score which will lead them to that prosperity. They look to the Score as revealed by the Order of Lorelei, the religion Yulia founded, and hold that the greatest virtue is to follow the Score faithfully. Yulia's Score tells of a young man who is necessary in order to bring “unprecedented prosperity.” His name is Luke fon Fabre. An heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, he was kidnapped as a child by the kingdom's enemy, the Malkuth Empire. Since his return he has been confined to his family's manor for his own safety. He has no idea of the evil that now draws close. LUKE FONE FABRELuke is the son of the Duke of the Kimlasca Kingdom. Since a kidnapping incident when he was young, he has lived isolated in his father's manor. Due to the shock of being kidnapped, he has lost the memory of his childhood. Luke grows to be terribly selfish and ignorant of what the real world is like, but eventually changes on his journey and wishes to become a hero. Along with being a skilled swordsman, he has the interesting ability to create a "hyperresonance" on his own with the power of the Seventh Fonon, a sort of power that usually requires at least two people. NATALIA LUZU KIMLASCA LANVALDEARNatalia is the princess of the Kimlasca Kingdom. She keeps up a noble and proud front, and at the same time tends to her subjects, believing the role of nobility is as such. When it comes to battle, Natalia proves to be more than a princess but also a skilled warrior with a strong will. She is also Luke's fiancée, and often scolds him for not accepting the responsibilities of nobility. To the party's surprise, Natalia is an exceptional seventh fonist, and thus as the ability to heal. ![]() PRINCE & PRINCESS Coming soon! Coming soon! Coming soon! Coming soon! Coming soon! Before the events regarding Asch, Luke and Natalia were your everyday childhood friends, growing up to think the other was constantly nagging or arrogant. However, everything changed when the truth was learned. Natalia became very confused and didn't know what to think of Luke for a period of time. Luke didn't know what to do, and only told himself that he was 'different' from Asch. During this time, the distance between Luke and Natalia grew and grew because of the awkward circumstances. However, Natalia's train of thought matures, as does Luke's entire being; the two decide that one person shouldn't change anything between them. To Natalia, 'Luke' is still Luke, no matter what; he was the one she grew up with after the kidnapping. This distance both grew and closed, as did the relationship between the two royals. Ultimately, Luke and Natalia remained as they were, good friends, and maybe more. Equidistant © Seiyuuki 2007. Tales of the Abyss © TALES Studio and Namco.
